Meta is facing a major child privacy trial brought by 30 US states, with potentially more than $1 trillion in damages at stake. The states are also seeking sweeping changes to Instagram and Facebook, including restrictions on likes, autoplay, recommendation algorithms, notifications and other features used by young people.
