Israeli airstrikes kill over 220 civilians in Iran, escalating tensions to critical levels. Iran retaliates with missile strikes as conflict intensifies across the Middle East.

Deadliest Escalation in Years
The conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its fourth day with devastating human costs. Since Friday, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 224 people across Iran, according to official sources. Iranian health officials confirmed that a total of 1,481 people have been killed or wounded, many in civilian zones.
High Civilian Toll
Hossein Kermanpour, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Health, stated that over 90% of the injuries are among civilians—including women and children. More than 1,277 of the injured have been admitted to university hospitals. While some victims were treated and discharged, the majority remain in critical condition.
Missile Strikes Hit Iranian Infrastructure
Israel claims its airstrikes targeted IRGC headquarters and military research sites in Tehran and other regions. These strikes reportedly killed multiple military commanders and nuclear scientists, escalating the severity of the conflict.
Iran Responds with Force
In response, Iran launched a wave of ballistic missiles and drones, striking central Israeli cities. At least eight Israeli civilians were killed. Emergency services are struggling to manage the aftermath on both sides.
World on Edge
This surge in violence follows Friday’s targeted Israeli strikes on nuclear and missile facilities deep inside Iran—actions seen as both tactical and symbolic. The region now teeters on the edge of full-scale war, with global powers calling for immediate de-escalation.
Global Condemnation and Calls for Restraint
International leaders and human rights organizations have condemned the attacks. There is growing concern that this conflict could engulf neighboring nations and destabilize the broader Middle East.
