Children ‘starving’ in Gaza as Israel blocks aid: UNRWA chief

Gaza children are starving under Israel’s aid blockade, says UNRWA chief, as food supplies run out and accusations of war crimes and genocide escalate.

“This Starvation Is Manmade — and Deliberate,” Blasts UNRWA Leader

Gaza’s children are dying of hunger — and the world is watching it happen.
In an explosive statement Friday, the head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazzarini, condemned Israel for using starvation as a weapon of war.

“Gaza: children are starving,” Lazzarini posted.
“Israel continues to block food and essentials. This is a manmade, politically motivated starvation. Nearly two months under siege. Our calls for aid are being ignored.”

Gaza’s Last Meals Already Served

The World Food Programme sounded its final alarm.
All remaining food supplies in Gaza have now been distributed.
Without an immediate breakthrough, mass famine will begin within days.

Since March 2, Israeli forces have sealed every crossing into Gaza, allowing no humanitarian relief.
The brutal blockade marks the longest complete closure in the enclave’s modern history.

51,400 Dead — And Counting

Meanwhile, Israel has resumed full-scale attacks.
Since October 2023, Israeli strikes have killed over 51,400 Palestinians — the overwhelming majority women and children.

The renewed bombardment, which shattered a fragile January truce, has left entire cities in ruins.
Humanitarian groups warn Gaza’s remaining infrastructure is on the verge of collapse.

International Arrest Warrants Already Issued

Legal action is catching up with Israel’s leadership.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last November for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ex-Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Both face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for their roles in Gaza.

In addition, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is investigating Israel for genocide, with global legal pressure building by the day.

World Leaders Under Fire for Inaction

As Gaza’s children waste away, accusations of global complicity are rising.
Calls to lift the blockade and allow aid in have been made repeatedly — and just as repeatedly, ignored.

Without urgent intervention, experts warn, thousands more will die — not from bombs, but from hunger, thirst, and medical collapse.

The question now is not whether Gaza is starving.
The question is whether the world will stand by — and watch an entire generation die.
